A shoe by any other name is still SHOE.

I have some designer friends that post weekly inspiration photos, some that take photos of what they are wearing or make a relevant and classic cell phone “mirror” shots.  I think “all of the above” are absolutely favorable and adorable, but I never have the time to pose in front of a timed camera…  Today I was flipping through my Blackberry photos and I realized that I take photos of my feet ALL the time. Normal? Probably not? Charming? Eh, hopefully lol. But I think it’s more of an ode to my obsession with shoes.

Too see some shoes that are on my “next to purchase” list go to the next page.

VB of VBPR herself, my friend/rep Sharon, and me!
Live Photoshoot shot by (www.andrewquesada.com)

Yes, there are always shennanigans. My lovely assistant Raena on the right. (we see you in the background Shawn lol)

This past Thursday night ONIKAI celebrated the “official” Launch Party of our PR Team VBPR.  In attendance were Victoria Berry and Jen of VBPR(my representation), some of the wearewendel film crew, DTLA sales reps, other designers, friends, djs, rappers and fashion lovers alike.  The event showcased a live photo shoot shot by (www.andrewquesada.com) who is also a client of VBPR, as well as a wall projection of works from all different clients including ONIKAI.  We had a blast! and are happy to celebrate the success of our fellow hustler’s over at VBPR.  Much success in 2011 and even more to come in 2012.  ❤

Nautical Throwback.

Remember back in the day when the tootsie roll and butterfly existed? When you rode a bike around the school lot and not a skooter?  I miss those days…  Well the Noir (what I like to call nick-knack-patty-wack) bracelets bring me back to those good old days adding a some what nautical sense with gold hardware.  Sure you could probably make these yourself but why would you do that when you could pay $42 for one? ha.

Thank god most hipsters don’t like hip-hop.

A motto for life, yes it's painted on a denim vest. Love.
The Crowd at about noon.
At 2pm I took off my Nikes and ran around the grass w/ bare feet laughing over spiked lemon-aid.
Lupe Fiasco ❤
Sharon and I. We stuck to basic denim and tees.
Jamaican "punch"
Yukimi of Little Dragon

I just had to share some photos from the Lupe Fiasco concert on Sunday… The fashion was mostly tennis shoes and jeans but there were a lot of floppy sun hats and feather earrings(hopefully the feather fad will die soon) A lot of girls had maxi dresses(saw lots of trends including front ruffles, large prints, and chambray) on with layering vests but not in the oh-so expected hipster way you might be thinking… more of a lady lunching meets hip-hip’s cousin.  The Jam Fest was amazing, there were guest appearances from Bilal & Meshell Ndegeocello, Talib Kweli,  Little Dragon, and many more… ❤
